Red Velvet Cake Trifle

Happy Father's Day and Juneteenth Weekend! It is almost the start of summer which means cookout season is about to be in full swing! If you are looking for an easy dessert to make for an upcoming cookout, this is it!!! This Red Velvet Cake Trifle is so easy to make! It is a great dessert to make for a crowd! This dessert will feed at least people. This is a semi homemade dessert which will take you less an a hour to make but will taste like you were in the kitchen all day whipping up this dessert. The full recipe is below. I have linked some items that are found on Amazon that you may not be able to find in your local grocery store such as the White Chocolate Cheesecake pudding mix. Ingredients Needed for Red Velvet Cake
1 box Red Velvet cake mix
4 large eggs
1/2 of vegetable oil
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Ingredients Needed for White Chocolate Cheesecake Pudding
16 oz of whipped cream cheese
2 boxes of instant white chocolate pudding mix
2 cup of milk
1 cup of whipped topping
Additional Ingredients
1 8oz container of whipped topping
Mini Chocolate Chips
Pecan Chips
Chocolate Sauce
Directions to Make Red Velvet Cake
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree.
2. In a mixing bowl, add cake mix, eggs, milk, oil and vanilla extract.
3. Using a hand mixer, mix all the ingredients together until well incorporated.
4. Add cake batter to two greased round cake pans.
5. Bake for 25-27 minutes. After allowing the cakes to cool for 10 minutes, remove from the pans and set aside.
Directions to Make White Chocolate Cheesecake Filling
1. In another bowl, add cream cheese, white chocolate cheesecake pudding mix, milk and whipped topping.
2. Using a hand mixer, Beat on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
3. Once the cakes have completed cooled, cut into cubes.
4. Using a trifle bowl, add red velvet cake cubes to the bowl of the trifle bowl.
5. Top with white chocolate cheesecake filling and then drizzle with chocolate sauce. Top with mini chocolate chips and pecans.
6. Repeat the same steps for two more layers and then top with more whipped topping.
7. Garnish with mini chocolate chips and pecans.
