Church’s Chicken Frosted Honey Butter Biscuits- Copycat Version
Ingredients to Make Frosted Honey Butter Biscuits
1 package of Miss Lena's Buttermilk Biscuit Mix
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 cup of Crisco
3/4 cup of buttermilk or whole milk +1 tablespoon of white vinegar
2 tablespoons of honey
1 container of vanilla icing
Directions to Make Frosted Honey Butter Biscuits
In a large bowl, add biscuit mix and sugar. Mix well.
Make a well in the center of the mixture and add Crisco.
Using a fork or pastry blender, blend the Crisco into flour until it resembles sand.
Measure out buttermilk and mix with honey until well combined.
Make another well in the flour mixture and add buttermilk.
Incorporate buttermilk into flour mixture until it forms a dough.
Pinch off a small amount of dough and roll into a small ball.
Place biscuits in a cast iron skillet and brush buttermilk on top. Bake on 450 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Once removed from the oven, brush on melted butter.
Microwave a few tablespoons of vanilla frosting and then drizzle on top of the biscuits.
