Copycat Version of Hardee’s Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits

Ingredients to Make Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits
1/3 cup of sugar
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 stick of frozen butter, grated
1 cup of raisins
1 cup of buttermilk, very cold
Vanilla Glaze
1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
3-4 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Directions to Make Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits
In a large bowl, add the biscuit mix, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
Grate a stick of butter into the flour mixture and add raisins.
Mix well until all ingredients are coated in the flour mixture.
Make a well into the flour mixture and add buttermilk.
Mix together until a dough forms.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin.
Fold dough three times and roll it out again.
Repeat this process two more times and then cut biscuits out into rounds.
To a greased cast iron, add biscuits and then top with an egg wash.
Bake on 450 for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Top with melted butter and then drizzle on vanilla glaze.
Directions to Make Vanilla Glaze
Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
