Spiked Strawberry Limeade Popsicles

Spiked strawberry limeade popsicles are tart, tangy, and refreshingly sweet. With only five ingredients they are a deliciously adult take on a summertime classic. Who doesn’t like popsicles? Especially ones that have a little kick. These strawberry limeade popsicles spiked with Tito’s vodka are not only refreshing on those hot summer days but also easy to make at home. You could whip these up in minutes in a Nutribullet or blender. The hardest part is the wait for them to freeze. Allow 6-8 hours to ensure the popsicles are completely frozen. In order to make these sweet treats, you will need a popsicle mold, some fresh strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup and of course vodka. Here‘s how to make them.

Ingredients for popsicles

1/2 cup of sugar

1/2 of water

1/2 cup of lime juice

1 cup of vodka

2 cups of strawberries plus a few slices strawberries

Directions to make the popsicles

  1. Add the 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a saucepan and boil until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.

  2. Add the two cups of strawberries, lime juice, simple syrup and vodka to a blender and blend until smooth.

  3. Pour the mixture into the popsicle mold but don’t fill all the way to the top.

  4. Add a few sliced strawberries to molds make the popsicles pretty.

  5. Finish filling the mold to the top.

  6. Freeze uncovered for an hour.

  7. Soak the popsicle sticks in water for about 15 minutes.

  8. After 1 hour, add the sticks and top for the mold and freeze until solid. Overnight works best.

  9. Run some warm water over to release the popsicle from the mold.

  10. Store the extras in the freezer and enjoy!
