Shrimp and Chicken Teriyaki Pineapple Bowls

If you have been following my Instagram, then you know that I have FALLEN in love with my Blackstone Griddle. I purchased it about a month and a half ago and I have made breakfast, a hibachi dinner, steak and potatoes and even a dessert on the griddle. I love that I can make multiple things at once on the Blackstone and I love how fast the food cooks. This past weekend I made shrimp and chicken teriyaki bowls and they turned out SOOOOO GOOD.

I have a recipe here on the blog for chicken teriyaki pineapple bowls that include a homemade teriyaki sauce. I honestly liked the La Choy Teriyaki Sauce alot better because it had a thicker consistency.

For the seasonings, I used the Poultry Seasoning and the Seafood Seasoning from a black owned small business called By Deaven Taylor. It was my first time using their seasonings and I was thoroughly impressed. I love the flavor on the shrimp and chicken in this dish and I can't wait to try their BBQ rub and Grilling Sauce. I linked the website to the seasonings in the recipe!

Ingredients Needed to Make Shrimp and Chicken Pineapple Bowls

2 pineapples, cut in half

1 lb

20 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

6 cups of day old rice (I got mine from Panda Express)

1 onion, finely diced

3 cloves of garlic, finely diced

4 green onions, chopped

3 tablespoon of La Choy Teriyaki Sauce on each protein

Soy Sauce to taste

4 tablespoons of butter

Directions to Make Shrimp and Chicken Teriyaki Pineapple Bowls

  1. Cut the pineapples in half. Cut around the sides and remove the pineapple. (Save it because it makes a great dessert on the Blackstone)

  2. Cut up chicken tenderloins into bite sized pieces and season with Poultry Seasoning. Set aside. Season the shrimp to taste with the Seafood Seasoning.

  3. Add your diced onions, garlic and scallions to a plate so its ready to add to the griddle.

  4. Heat the griddle to high heat and add the chicken first. Reduce the heat to medium once the chicken has browned a bit. Add teriyaki sauce and saute for about a minute. Remove chicken once it is done so it doesn't dry out.

  5. On the other side of the griddle, add the shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side and then add teriyaki sauce and saute for about a minute. Remove the chicken from the griddle and set aside.

  6. Add the halved pineapple to the griddle in order to allow them to caramelize a bit.

  7. Drizzle griddle with olive oil and then add the diced onions, garlic and scallions to the griddle and saute until the onions are translucent.

  8. Add the rice and butter and saute for about 5-6 mins. Add the soy sauce and black pepper to taste and saute for a few more minutes. Remove the rice.

  9. Add the fried rice to the pineapple bowl and topped with the teriyaki chicken and shrimp. Enjoy!
